What we do and how we do it
Architectural Innovations is a consulting firm founded in 1975. We provide both architectural and engineering services. The engineering services consist of heating, ventilation and air conditioning, plumbing, fire protection, structural and electrical. The architectural services include site planning, space planning, construction documentation, interior design, life safety requirements and the adherence to local and state building codes.
We are a company that undertakes a wide variety of building projects and performs all necessary stages of development from planning and design through to the completion of construction. Our projects have covered a range from residential to industrial and from renovations to new construction. We offer our clients extensive experience in renovations, retrofit and energy efficient building design, engineering, high tech clean rooms, humidity controlled laboratories, operation rooms and energy conservation through proper energy control management.
In establishing a contract with a client, we make a commitment through a process that includes determining that feasibility of the designs, planning and engineering and the production of contract documents. The contract documents contain four phases: schematic design, design development, working drawings and specifications. We conduct all bidding with contractors, we establish and control all costs and we manage and coordinate all of the construction from start to finish.
Because of legal complexities and structural and design problems inherent in building, it makes good sense to hire an architect to design and to complete a project. An architect has skills in drawing, designing, drafting and in business issues. An architect is an expert on construction and building materials as well as possessing knowledge of building codes, zoning laws, handicapped access requirements, fire regulations, safety ordinances and life safety engineering. An architect is also able to judge the environmental and economic impact of what is designed and constructed.
